At RPM Graphics, we have been in business since January 1999. We are proud to say after 12 years we are growing and very much enjoying the business that we have nurtured.

Streamline your advertising; Sign Company Twin Cities

I have been doing graphic design for over 20 years and one of the biggest mistakes I see people make is to have logos and themes that are all over the place. Streamlining your image is very important. Have a logo created that you love that correctly portrays your company and stick with it on everything. Sometimes you will see a company have a few versions of a logo. One version may be used in a horizontal setting, and a different one in a vertical setting. Perfect, as long as they are consistent.

Your advertising on signs, banners and vehicle lettering should also be consistent with that image. In this also should included is letterhead, business cards and other forms.

Banners, Digital and Vinyl Lettered; Twin Cities, MN

In my last blog I talked about banners. I wanted to expand on it more, by comparing digital and vinyl lettered banners.

You can have beautiful full color banners by getting them printed digitally. Your artwork will be multi-colored or have personal or professional images that portray you personally or tells about your business. Most of the banners that we print at RPM Graphics, Inc., are 13 oz. banners. They are ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Though, if they are to be used outdoors for long term, we have them finished a bit differently with reinforced corners or webbing possibly.

Though digital printing is usually the most desirable for the price, vinyl lettered banners have their place. For advertising an event and one color lettering is sufficient, we suggest vinyl lettered banners. Or for less complicated banners, this might also be your best bet.

Banner Options; Minneapolis, MN Sign Company

Need banner for an event or special function? Indoor or outdoor? There are many options available for you to consider.

Banner weights are measured in ounces. Tear strengths are based on those ounces. Indoor banners or very short term banners should be 8 oz. or 10 oz. banners. Though, 10 oz. banners will be okay for about 2 weeks maximum outdoor. Outdoor banners mid term usage would be best at 13 oz. You can also put other options on 13 oz. banners that will make them a very strong banner. There is also a 16 oz. banner that is most common for long term outdoor use. Last, there is the 18 oz. that some feel is better than the 16 oz. Measuring tear strength will show you they are virtually the same. The cost of 18 oz. is more expensive.

Pride in your community; Banners in Dayton, MN

Over the weekend we (RPM Graphics) were in the Dayton Heritage Days parade. We do this because of our pride in our city. We love this community and really need to be a part of it. It gives us great gratitude, personally and as a business owner.

Showing support of your surrounding communities is a huge part of being a business owner as well as a citizen. As we drove through the village of Dayton, MN, we were greeted by children and adults, young and old. Fellow business owners, alike together put smiles on peoples faces while also doing great things for their businesses.

Also, as a sign company, I look at floats and food stands. Booths for sales. Though Dayton is not a huge business town. We have a small town image with a very small town feel. Which is also wonderful. But, if it is a larger festival or parade, remember signage and your image needs to be professional. Put on your best face. It is the face of your business.

A PASSION FOR FREEDOM

When freedom is your passion and compassion is your guide

The greatness of our nation is just welling up inside

Whether singing of our anthem or reciting of our pledge

You know the flames still burning, though we teetered on the edge.

The torch has been passed for generations, as freedoms been fought for ’round the world

Making us the envy of all other nations and the dreams of every boy and girl.

We have often taken for granted the blessings and choices we’ve been given each day

People gave their lives for our freedom, yet complacency had become our way

Well, no war is ever over, till the last person lays down his gun

No day has ever ended, without the setting of the sun.

So our choices are there to be taken and with compassion and work we’ll survive

When we’re willing to fight for our freedom, our country will continue to thrive.

So, commit to your plan of action, to make our nation a better place to live

Go out and touch the lives of other people, your dreams will be fulfilled when you give.

Don’t think, “I’m just one person, what can I do” or ” I don’t have any time left to give”

Freedom is our obligation to the future, so the dreams of our children will live.

We can do nothing and accept what we’re given or expect nothing and get all that we earn

So do something and develop a habit, by which generations of nations can learn

We’re a nation that was born out of values, by founding fathers whose purpose was pure

When we help one another regain what’s important, we’re a nation who will always endure.
